People are able to see for themselves from today the outcomes of police investigations in their neighbourhood.
The Home Office launched a crime-mapping website last year to let people see how many burglaries, robberies and violent crimes have happened on their doorstep.
Now the results of police investigations and court cases are being added to the map - published on www.police.uk.
By typing in a postcode, people can see what crimes have happened and are given local police contacts.
The new information - which will include court results, fines and details of investigations - is added from today.
The extra data - called Justice Outcomes - comes from crimes committed from January onwards.
Alan Pughsley, the Deputy Chief Constable of Kent Police, said: "The public should be able to hold the justice system to account.
"Easily accessible information is the key to that, and Justice Outcomes is a major step forward in letting people see what happens to calls to the police.
"We want to be able to share as much information as we can with the public on the crime picture in Kent.
"Crime continues to fall in Kent and the public should be able to see exactly how we are tackling complaints of criminality.
"The public have never had such a detailed picture of crime and the outcome in their area."
He added he will continue to push the Home Office to add even more details to the website - including anti-social behaviour.
The website was launched in January 2011 and has had 47million visits, with an average of 150,000 per day.
