A cow had to be put down after being hit by a car when it strayed from a field into Cockering Road at Chartham, near Canterbury, early this morning.
The animal was among several which escaped from the field.
The woman driver of the car was unhurt but the road was closed between 6.30am and 8.10am for the scene to be cleared.
