Crash helpers sought after man injured in tree smash

Police are appealing for two men who helped at a serious crash last night to come forward.

The pair - one white and the other of Asian appearance - were in a white van and might hold key information about the smash in Main Road, Longfield Hill.

A man was seriously injured when a black Ford Mondeo went down an embankment and smashed into a tree at about 6.55pm.

The driver, a 32-year-old from the Longfield area, was eventually helped out of the wreck by firefighters.

He was rushed to Kings College Hospital, in London, where he is in intensive care.

Anyone with information is asked to phone the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
