Cyclist critical after accident

A CYCLIST was critical in hospital this morning after he collided with a pothole on Sheppey yesterday.

The man from Rochester, who has not been named, was with a cycling companion when the accident happened at the Sheppey Way junction with Humphreys Loop, a layby used by lorry drivers and motorists.

The man was intially taken to Medway Maritime Hospital after the incident but he was later transferred to a London hospital.
