A cyclist died after he lost control of his push bike and crashed into a road sign.

The 35-year-old man was travelling towards Maidstone in Lidsing Road, Boxley, on Wednesday at 3.15pm when he veered off the road. He crashed into a sign and dense foliage, suffering fatal injuries.

Police closed the road between Pilgrim's Way and the Medway-Maidstone boundary.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
