Dacia is to make the new Sandero the cheapest car in the UK to buy on finance, starting at £69 per month, the firm has announced.

The no-frills supermini will be offered on several finance schemes through dealers, one of which asks for a deposit of £1,845 in return for monthly payments of just £69 over four years

Through the Dacia Dimensions personal contract purchase deal and attached to a typical dealer-finance interest rate of 9.4%, the entry-level £5,995 Sandero Access will be aggressively targeted at families that want to cut their motoring costs.

A second example deal listed by Dacia asks for a deposit of £699 and monthly payments of £99, at 9.9% APR.

Deliveries of the Sandero and its compact SUV sibling the Duster will start in early 2013. Both cars can be ordered online or through a network of 135 dealers with a refundable £100 deposit.

As standard the cars come with a three-year, 60,000-mile warranty. Buyers can upgrade that to a five-year, 60,000-mile option or a seven-year, 100,000-mile one at an extra cost. The former is available from £5 extra per month when paying by straightforward hire purchase.
