A post-mortem examination has found a man died from suspension after it is believed a prank went wrong at his home.
It is thought Conrad Wells, 30, died after trying to climb a flag pole in the back garden of his home in Minster Road in the early hours of Sunday.
A post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday (Wednesday).
He had returned home after attending a party with his girlfriend Kelly Collins, 24, who he had a five-month-old baby daughter with. The three of them lived with Mr Wells’ parents.
At some point, it is believed he climbed the flag pole in the back garden, but it is unclear what happened next.
His body was found by his devastated parents Christina and Chris around 8.30am.
Mrs Wells described her son, who worked for the Electoral Commission, in Westminster, London, as “a highly-intelligent guy who was sometimes a bit crazy”.
She said: “He would do anything. He was a fantastic father and absolutely doted on his daughter."
