A dad who uploaded a time-lapsed drawing video for friends two years ago and thought nothing more of it logged back on to his YouTube account to find it had 2.1 million views.
Brian Holmes from Phoenix Road, Lordswood, posted the video of him following a sketch tutorial to his channel in 2019 - but when he unearthed the old account the other day he was shocked to find it had gone viral and he had 12,000 subscribers.

The 47-year-old operations manager said: "I copied a drawing tutorial from a channel called Draw It, Too! and decided to upload it so I could show my friends and the guy who did the tutorial.
"I logged out and expected the videos to disappear in the pit of forgotten clips at the basement of YouTube.
"However, two years on, I was trying to see about live streaming some drone footage I was recording, I went onto YouTube's settings and saw I had a few old accounts and clicked on the one where I uploaded the drawings.
"That's when I saw it, I had over 12,000 subscribers! But that wasn't it, when I looked over the videos the one I had recorded of my Venom drawing had 2.1 million views."
The dad-of-two hopes to upload more drawings in the future and has already posted some new content to show his subscribers he is active online once again.
Brian said: "I couldn't believe it, the funny thing is the video is a bit rubbish, it cuts out half way through and doesn't even show the finished product.
"I really don't understand how it did so well, the YouTuber, Ramny, who's tutorial I followed has also seen the video and liked it."
The Draw It, Too! channel was set up by Ramny to help artists like Brian develop their drawing skills by showing them how to draw their favourite characters from movies, TV shows, cartoons, comic books, or video games.
Brian has now given his YouTube page a makeover with a new header, name and linked Instagram account which he hopes his subscribers will use to follow his drawing progress.
He added: "I always tease my children about online stars and now it turns out that I'm viral myself!
"Every day hundreds of people still log on to see the Venom drawing, I'm absolutely amazed."
