A 12 inch long dagger with a swastika on the handle has been stolen from a primary school.
Police were called to Barming Primary School, in Belmont Close, after the knife went missing on Tuesday, June 10.
The knife, described as a German dress dagger, was taken from a Second World War display in one of the classrooms between noon and 3.30pm.
It had been bought in by a pupil whose grandfather had lent it to her for a school exhibition.
Head teacher Steven Nairn said a thorough search was carried out and all the children who had used the room that day spoken to.
He said: "The police were then informed because of the seriousness of the incident."
