Dame Vera Lynn has taken part in a sing-along with British Second World War veterans at a military show in Kent.

More than 100 veterans gathered for a reunion at the War and Peace Show, near Tunbridge Wells.

They received warm applause after their impromptu performance of the White Cliffs of Dover.

The sing-along was part of a packed programme of events at the biggest military history event in the world.

The annual War and Peace Show opened at the Paddock Wood park on Wednesday for its five-day run.

The highlight of this year's show was the visit from 'Forces' Sweetheart' Dame Vera Lynn, 92.

This year's event includes two of General Montgomery's Rolls Royces, which were his personal cars during the Second World War, and aerial displays from a Spitfire and Messerschmitt, a Lancaster bomber and a Piper Club artillery spotter plane.

There is also live 1940s music and a daily variety show. Tickets on the gate are priced £17 for adults and £15 for children between three and 15.
