Daniel Pearce has made a heartbreaking exit from TV talent show X-Factor.
The 31-year-old-singer, who grew up in Ashford and is pictured with his wife Charlotte, failed to make it to the live finals of the competition after being dropped by his mentor Simon Cowell.
It was a devastating blow for the former Norton Knatchbull pupil who had been tipped to make the final 12 contestants after making it past the challenging bootcamp stages of the show.
Record company boss and X-Factor judge Simon Cowell had branded it Daniel’s last chance at fame.
Seven years ago he left TV talent show band One True Voice to pursue a solo career, but has so far failed to find his way back to music stardom.
Speaking to Daniel on the programme Simon Cowell said: “You’ve been down this road before. I’m trying to put myself in your shoes, what that must feel like.” He then went on to tell Daniel the bad news.
Within hours of the show being broadcast Daniel received hundreds of messages of support on social networking website facebook and even the backing of Radio 1 breakfast show DJ Chris Moyles.
