Danny Jackman has never experienced promotion in his 13-year professional career but could be about to celebrate two in one day.
The 30-year-old left the Gills in January – having played 10 league games for the club this season – and has since become a key member of a Kidderminster side battling to make it into the Football League.
Both could win the title in their respective divisions on Saturday.
"That would be pretty special," said Jackman, who spent five and a half years with the Gills and played 178 games.
"My record (with promotions) is pretty shocking and as a player it’s something I feel I am probably owed!
"You have to go through a lot as a lower league player and to get one in my career would be great and two would be out of this world."
The Gills can win the league title tomorrow (Saturday) if they pick up a point against AFC Wimbledon or Port Vale don’t win.
Meanwhile, Kidderminster have a little more to do. They need Mansfield to drop points and to beat Stockport at home in their final match.
Eighteen promotion-winning medals are awarded to Football League clubs for players and more can be requested, should the Gills wish.
