Gillingham midfielder Danny Jackman has had a second injection on his knee injury.

Jackman has played no part for Gillingham so far this season but could now return to training by the end of the month.

The Gills were hoping that one injection would be enough but manager Andy Hessenthaler confirmed that, while there is still no need for an operation, a second injection has taken place.

"Danny had a problem with it and has had a second injection," said Hessenthaler. "I’m not a great lover of those injections but hopefully he’ll be back in training within two weeks."
