Gillingham top scorer Danny Kedwell is keen on forging a strike partnership with teenage sensation Ashley Miller.
The pair have yet to play 90 minutes together but Kedwell, who has bagged 13 goals this season, believes there is plenty to come from the 17-year-old academy graduate.
Miller scored Gills’ equaliser on Saturday, to make the game 3-3, before Crewe hit an injury time winner.
"I am pleased for him," said Kedwell. "His work-rate in the last two games has been magnificent and he is going to be a big threat in the future.
"As long as we keep hold of him we can get a nice partnership going upfront. He has potential to go really far."
Miller has featured in Gills’ last three games.
"He is coming out of his shell and he might do even more now he has scored," said Kedwell.
Gills fan Kedwell has already experienced scoring infront of the Rainham End and he was thrilled to see Miller do likewise at the weekend.
"I know the feeling he would have had because he is a local lad as well."
