Darren Stevens has signed a new extended contract with Kent County Cricket Club.
The 34-year-old all-rounder, who represented the England Lions last summer and was Kent's player-of-the-year, has signed a one-year extension to his contract, which will now keep him at the St Lawrence Ground until the end of the 2012 season.
Stevens (pictured) said: “I am looking forward to playing for the club over the next two seasons.
"I have enjoyed my time in Kent and wanted to show my commitment by signing this new extended deal.
"I remain fully committed to helping the club push forward, both on and off the field.”
Kent’s team director Paul Farbrace added: "We are all delighted that Darren has chosen to extend his deal for the next two seasons as he is a high quality player.
"He did very well last season and was justifiably named Kent Player-of-the-Year. He is a key player; both on and off the field.”
Kent chief executive Jamie Clifford added: “Darren is a quality cricketer. I am pleased that he has chosen to continue his career here at Kent. Since making his debut in 2005, he has shown great commitment."
