Lady luck is beaming bright on the
Newton family from Dartford after they pocketed an £8million
Lottery jackpot.

They bagged the giant £7,985,672
cheque after taking a punt on last Wednesday's National Lottery
Lucky Dip and matching all six numbers.

Heads of the syndicate - Ted Newton,
69, and wife Marilyn, 65 - have their hearts set on a brand new
caravan for family holidays, and are even considering a holiday
home.

The couple will share the prize with
sons Darren, 39, from Dartford, Stephen, 34, from Cobham, and
daughter Sarah, 36, from Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

But the children, who had forgotten
their dad was still buying tickets, are lucky to be getting a share
- they each owe their dad about £1,000 in syndicate payments,
having fallen behind.
