Dartford boss Tony Burman is stepping up his hunt for new blood after finalising deals for the remainder of last season’s squad.

Captain Elliot Bradbrook and striker Jacob Erskine put pen to paper this week which means Burman now has a 13-man squad to build upon.

But he knows some of the players aiming to join the ranks at Princes Park will have to lower their demands.

Burman (pictured) said: "We rightly spent time on securing the services of the majority of last year’s squad and now we’ve done that we can start having a look at what players we might be able to bring in.

"We are talking to one or two people but players are playing the field and some are out of our wage bracket. There are decent players out there but they will have to lower their demands and we have to be careful."

There was interest from other clubs in 14-goal midfielder Bradbrook but Burman was pleased to see football matters taking precedence.

The Darts boss said: "Elliot had a few clubs asking for his signature but the fact is he wants to play at a higher level and that’s great."
