Dartford Road Runners AC's Andy Green lands Kent M40 cross-country title

The annual cross country championships for Kent men and women masters took place at Rose Hill School, Tunbridge Wells on Saturday.

Andy Green of Dartford Road Runners took his first Kent title in the M40 race ahead of defending champion Stephen McGrory of Kent AC and third-placed Carl Ferri of Beckenham Road Runners.

Graeme Saker of Tonbridge AC won the M50 title at his first attempt. The former M40 champion actually ran 13 seconds faster than the M40 champion over the same 9k distance.

The M60 title was retained by Paul Ross-Davies while the inaugural M70 champion was Michael Conway of Invicta East Kent.

Clare Elms of Dulwich was peerless in the W35 championships while the W45 title was retained by Sharon Hawkins of Invicta East Kent and Lesley Hall of Ashford AC took the W55 title.

Blackheath & Bromley Harriers were the dominant force in the team events, with three sets of gold medals.
