A 29-year-old woman accused of causing the death of a man in an incident involving a car will stand trial in October.

Victoria Catlin denies the manslaughter of Vincent Wilson in the High Street, Grain, near Rochester, on June 16 last year.

Catlin, formerly of High Street, Grain, also denies an alternative charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Wilson, who was 21 and lived in London, died after an accident with Catlin’s Rover car.

Catlin, who has been bailed to live at either an address in The Brent, Dartford, or Vicarage Close, Rochester, was not in court for the brief hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.

Judge Michael Lawson QC fixed her trial to start on October 27. It is expected to last four to five days.
