TV and radio personality Barry Bethell is due to make his first appearance before a judge next month accused of child sex offences.
Bethell appeared at Canterbury Magistrates Court on Friday, where his case was committed to the city’s Crown Court for a trial.
He did not enter any pleas and was, again, remanded in custody.
Bethell, who celebrated his 65th birthday while on remand in prison, faces 26 charges relating to child porn and indecent assaults on girls aged nine and 10.
The former Slimfast slimmer of the year, of Kimberly Grove, Seasalter, is due to appear at the Crown Court on May 6.
