Deal man Michael Delsignore charged over raid on Simmond's jewellers'

A man has been charged after a raid on a jewellery store in Deal.

Michael Delsignore, of Mill Road, Deal, is accused of robbery and possessing an imitation firearm at Simmond's jewellers' in the High Street.

The 28-year-old appeared before Dover magistrates on Saturday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Wednesday, December 12.

Three men are said to have entered Simmond's at around 4.30pm last Wednesday before threatening workers with a shotgun.

The men fled the shop after making off with jewellery from smashed cabinets.
