A woman who died in a head-on collision between two vehicles has been named as Carole Head, 61, from Trottiscliffe.

Mrs Head, a mother of four and grandmother of three, died at the scene of the accident last Thursday afternoon. She had been at the wheel of a Toyota on the A20 between West Malling and Addington, when she was in collision with a pick-up.

Mrs Head, of Wrotham Water Road, was treated at the scene by paramedics but died of her injuries. The 41 year old truck driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.

An inquest into Mrs Head’s death was opened and adjourned yesterday.

Mrs Head’s funeral takes place at Vinters Park Crematorium, Maidstone, on Thursday (July 17) at 12.30pm.
