THREE people died and several others were injured after a number of road accidents across the county yesterday.
Two teenagers were killed and two other people seriously hurt in a head-on crash involving a car and a lorry on the A20, Ashford Road, Lenham.
The collision happened at around 3.50pm. The victims - a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl - were travelling in the car and died at the scene.
The 20-year-old male driver of the car and a 14-year-old female passenger were taken to the William Harvey Hospital with serious injuries. A four-year-old girl travelling in the car was unhurt.
Three men travelling in the lorry suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for about five hours.

Earlier, the M20 was closed London-bound between junctions four (Aylesford) and three (Wrotham) for more than eight hours after a man was killed and two other people injured in a five-vehicle collision.
The male victim died at the scene, another man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and a female passenger in one of the vehicles was treated for a minor injury.
The crash caused rush hour chaos around Maidstone and Medway.

A number of people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the A2 in north Kent.
The accident took place at around 7.30pm. Police say two cars - a BMW and a Ford Fiesta - left the coast-bound carriageway at Tollgate.
The driver of the BMW and a passenger were taken to the Darent Valley Hospital with head injuries.
The road was closed at Pepper Hill and traffic diverted via Northfleet. It reopened at 9.30pm.

Earlier, two crashes in the Charing area at about 8.30am made rush hour traffic worse and resulted in the M20 being London-bound shut between junctions nine (Ashford) and eight (Leeds Castle).
In the first incident, a lorry overturned but no-one was hurt.
About 20 minutes later there was another accident near the scene involving a car and a foreign-registered lorry. The driver of the car was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters, although the injuries are not thought to be serious.
Firefighters helped release a man from his car after an accident outside an RSPCA animal centre on the A228, Leybourne, near West Malling, at about 8.45am.
The man, in his 20s, was taken to Maidstone Hospital. Only one vehicle was involved in the incident.
