Bob Ainsworth became the second government minister to hot foot it down to Kent on the general election campaign trail today.

The defence secretary visited Dartford's Glentworth Club to spent just under an hour talking to ex-servicemen and women.

It follows PM Gordon Brown's Kent visit on Tuesday just hours after calling the election.
