Delays built up today due to the sheer weight of freight traffic at the Channel Tunnel.

There has been a tailback of lorries throughout the afternoon from the Tunnel entrance, running the length of the sliproad at junction 11A that joins the M20 at Folkestone.

Police are urging motorists to keep a safe distance and be aware of slowing traffic.
