POLICE are searching for a 83-year-old man who went missing from hospital early this morning.

Raymond Hilliard who suffers from dementia and is also insulin dependent, was last seen at Darent Valley Hospital in Greenhithe, near Dartford, at about 10am.

Without medication, needed by 4pm today, he is likely to fall into a diabetic coma, police have said.

A spokesman for North Kent Police said: “Mr Hilliard is 83 years old but is described as looking younger, around late 60s. He is a white man, of slim build, 5ft 9in, with short white hair.

“He was wearing a black jacket, green jumper and green/brown trousers. He is able to hold a conversation and may mention Hazel, his wife who died recently.”
