Winger Dennis Oli is hoping Gillingham can take out their frustration against Exeter on Monday and finally achieve a win on the road.
The Gills played well against Brentford on Boxing Day but lost and Oli is now focused on taking maximum points from the struggling Grecians.
"If we go about the game as we did on Saturday then we’ll get a result," said the 25-year-old.
"Everyone is confident. We’ve had a little blip at home but we can now go away and do the business. It would be a massive weight off our shoulders. We are so frustrated because we do work hard and it’s just not falling for us."
Oli has been back in the side following Mark Bentley’s recent switch into defence and he’s delighted to be getting the chance to impress.
"I thought I played okay (on Saturday) but I need to be more consistent," he said. Hopefully I can keep playing at this level and then get a regular spot in the team.
"It’s the best place to be, in the starting eleven, and I’m enjoying myself.
"I’ve just got to keep working hard, do the business in training and keep my
place."
