POLICE in Yorkshire are appealing for information about the whereabouts of 42-year-old James Hartley who went missing from the regional secure unit at Fieldhead
Hospital, Wakefield, on August 14.
He is described as a white man, 5ft 9in tall, of heavy build, with dark brown shortish hair and a small cross tattoo on his left wrist.
He was lst seen wearing a grey overcoat, dark patterned jumper, green trousers
and brown boots. Police are concerned for his welfare as he is on medication for mental health issues and has no medication with him.
Mr Hartley was described as being in a stable condition when he went missing,
which may still be the case.
However, as his current condition is unknown police advise members of the public not to approach him but to contact the police immediately on 999 if they see him.
We would also ask Mr Hartley to contact us or the hospital to let us know that he is ok.
Mr Hartley is known to have links to various parts of the country and could be anywhere in the country.
