Did you witness assault in car park?

POLICE are appealing for information following an assault which took place in the library car park in Central Avenue, Sittingbourne.

The incident occurred between 1pm and 2pm on Monday, 13 February. It is alleged that a man assaulted a woman in her 30s by dragging her across the road by her arm.

PC Gary Seamark, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are aware that there were a number of people in the area who would have witnessed the incident. I am keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us with this enquiry.”

A 39-year-old Sittingbourne man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed to Sittingbourne police station pending further enquiries.
