DETECTIVES in Medway are appealing for witnesses to a violent assault on a 19-year-old man.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning near the Casino Rooms in Blue Boar Lane, Rochester.

The victim, from Chatham, was outside the club when he was followed by a man into nearby Corporation Street and violently punched and kicked.

He was left with facial injuries requiring hospital treatment at Medway Maritime Hospital at Gillingham. The attacker is about 5ft 6ins tall and stocky. He was wearing a dark suit.
