Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a young disabled boy had his wheelchair stolen from the front of his house.
George Keith, 12, suffers from Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T) which is a rare genetic disease that causes severe disability in children.
There is currently no known cure to the disease.
The chair was taken from outside the family home on Third Avenue, Gillingham at about 12.15pm on Wednesday.
The chair is described as being green with blue, yellow and green wheels.
There are lights on the front wheels which light up when the chair is moved and the back of the chair has ‘quickie’ written on it.
PC Rebecca Roch said: "The family are very upset that the chair has been taken as George is dependent on it.
"We would urge anyone who has information about the whereabouts of this chair to contact Kent Police immediately on 01634 891055 or call Kent CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
