AN ELECTRICAL fault is thought to be the cause of a dishwasher bursting into flames at a home in Chalfont Drive at Rainham.

Firefighters were called to the premises after 10.40am on Tuesday after the homeowner called for assistance.

A spokesman for Medway Fire Station said: “Two pumps were in attendance at the address. It was only a small fire and not a lot of damage was done to the kitchen.

“We put the fire out and removed the dishwasher from the property.”
