'Distressed' woman found safe and well

A woman who was the subject of an urgent police appeal after being seen in a "very confused and upset state" last night has been found safe and well.

The woman was spotted at around 6.30pm Thursday in Sevington Lane, Willesborough, near Ashford and a police helicopter was used in the search.

A police spokesman said: "She was in a very distressed state...and was cold and shivering."

Two local PCSOs recognised the description of the woman as someone who had previously lived on their Kennington beat and went to her new home address in Willesborough, where she was found.
