Radio and TV personality Barry Bethell is facing 22 fresh charges relating to child porn and indecent assaults on children.

The number of allegations against the 64-year-old, of Kimberly Grove, Seasalter, is now 26.

Bethell appeared at Canterbury Magistrates' Court accused of taking indecent photographs of children, possessing indecent photographs of children and indecent assaults on two girls.

The former Slimfast slimmer of the year and radio presenter was last month charged with possessing an indecent photograph of a child, making an indecent photograph of a child and two counts of indecent assault against girls.

Bethell has not entered pleas to any of the charges.

He was remanded in custody until April 4 when he is back to the magistrates court for the case to be committed to Canterbury Crown Court for trial on all the allegations.
