A DJ is set to abseil to raise money for the hospital that has been treating him for cancer.
Dannie Bee, from Greenhill, is preparing to descend down the side of King’s College Hospital in July to raise money for its Silver Lining Appeal.
It is not the first time he has helped raise money for the cause, along with Whitstable teenager Nicole Dryburgh who has been treated at the hospital for several years in her ongoing battle with cancer.
Dannie Bee, whose real name is Dan Blackwell, has previously raised money by releasing an album featuring a mixture of R 'n’ B and rap and music.
The 20-year-old Radio Cabin DJ, who is waiting to hear if he has the all-clear after his third bout of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, also plans another album to launch at the same time as the abseil.
Titled Radio Therapy, he said: “All I can say is it will have a lot of personal things.”

Dan hopes, along with the abseil, it will make a lot of money for the charity.
He added: “I’m hoping to raise a lot, it’ll be good to get as much as I can. I’m afraid of heights, so it’s a new challenge.”
Sponsorship forms will be kept at Gatefield Sounds in Herne Bay and Whitstable and the reception of AMF Bowling Centre in Whitstable.
