POLICE are urging people all over the country, including Kent, to help help trace 12 men suspected of being involved in football violence.
The violent disorder broke out just over 12 months ago in Manchester city centre at the time of a World Cup qualifier between England and Wales at Old Trafford.
Greater Manchester Police have released CCTV
iamges of the 12 men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident on Saturday, October 9, 2004.
Det Sgt Simon Raistrick, from the Force Intelligence Bureau, said: "We hope that this week's World Cup qualifiers will help jog a few people's memories and help us to trace these men.
"It is likely that all 12 will be avid football fans and someone may recognise them. We believe they do not live in the Manchester area and will have travelled in specifically for the match.
"I would therefore urge people from all over the country to look at these pictures and call us if they have any information about the identity of the men."
Anyone who may be able to help police to identify these men should contact Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 6757 or 0161 856 6739 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
