A MAN who drove lorries through Kent is being sought by detectives in connection with his wife's murder.
Police in Kettering, Northamptonshire, wish to find Robert Napier, 56, whose wife, Joyce, was found asphyxiated at her home in Linden Avenue, Kettering, on Tuesday, October 11.
Mr Napier has connections across the country from his time as a lorry driver, and officers are asking people to look out for anyone fitting his description.
He is 6ft tall with dark brown receding hair, greased back. He may wear glasses.
It is believed he is driving a white Suzuki Swift car with the registration number KM05 OYD which has “wanna play” signwritten in black on the front doors, although this may have been removed.
Det Ch Insp Tom Manson, who is leading the murder investigation, said: “Joyce Napier was a popular and well-liked woman. The circumstances around her death are still very unclear and we need to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything around her house.
"However, we need to urgently trace Mr Napier to see whether he has any information which could assist with this enquiry.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Incident Room at Corby Police Station on 01536 400400.
