POLICE have released an e-fit in a bid to catch a pervert who exposes himself to women and young girls.

He is one of two men who have exposed themselves in Bearsted, Barming, Tovil, Vinters Park, and Maidstone town centre, over the past 11 weeks.

The incidents started on Wednesday, May, 19, when a man exposed himself to a woman in Willington Street, Maidstone.

Another incident occurred in June and there have been 10 more in the last month alone, centring on Huntsman Lane and Brenchley Gardens, Maidstone, Ashford Road, Bearsted, Old Tovil Road, Tovil, and Heath Road, Barming.

Police are convinced from victims' descriptions that two different men are responsible and are linking the attacks in May and June with the more recent incidents.

Neither man, who work separately, talks directly to their victims and, after exposing themselves, they both run or walk away in the opposite direction.

A Maidstone and Malling Police spokeswoman said: "There have not been any incidents in the past week but it is still vitally important that we catch these men."

The first man is white, aged 30 to 40, fat, with brown hair and often wears a baseball cap and shorts. He is thought to have a northern or Scottish accent.

One of the victims has pieced together an e-fit of the second man, who is in his 20s or 30s and wears tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt.

Police have also released a CCTV camera still as they believe the man pictured on a bridge near Maidstone East Station, may be a material witness to the exposures.

Anyone with information should call Maidstone and Malling Police on 01622 608189 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
