CHATHAM'S historic dockyard has a new attraction with the opening of Victorian sloop HMS Gannet.

It has been perfectly restored to late 19th century condition and is now moored alongside HMS Cavalier and the submarine Ocelot.

The three are being promoted as one of the greatest collection of warships at any one site in the world, with thousands expected to visit her.
