A Medway man's admitted failing to control a dog in a public place after a 13-year-old boy was bitten and needed plastic surgery.
The teenager suffered a serious leg injury after being attacked by the Staffordshire bull terrier at the Garrison Sports Ground in Gillingham on December 29 last year.
Gary Freeman, 43, of Johnson Avenue, Gillingham pleaded guilty to failing to control a dog in a public place when he appeared before Medway Magistrates today.
The dog believed responsible for the attack was taken into police care and has since been destroyed.
