Dog walker struck by car

A MAN walking his dog suffered serious head injuries when he was in collision with a car on a main road.

The pedestrian, in his 30s, was walking the dog at the junction of the A21 with the B2100 at Lamberhurst, near Tunbridge Wells, at around 4.40pm on Sunday when he was in collision with a blue Cavalier.

He was taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells where he remains in a serious but stable condition. His dog was killed.

No one in the Cavalier was injured. The road was closed for four hours while emergency services dealt with the crash.

Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to call them on 01622 798 537.
