Bullying hurts and does not have to be endured. That’s the message from a local college.
The high-profile initiative by Margate’s Hartsdown Technlogy College was highlighted as part of a national anti-bullying week.
Discussions, debates and special assemblies have been held, sixth form students have presented a show for visiting juniors and the college has worked with Police Community Support Officer John Christian on a poster campaign.
Each class will be creating a collage of anti-bullying messages. The most striking works will be exhibited in corridors, classrooms and reception areas.
Principal Andy Somers said: “Bullying is not only physical. It can be psychological and emotional and can leave deep scars.”
