POLICE investigating a road crash in which two young men were killed are continuing to appeal to a woman they believe was dropped off by the victims shortly before the accident.
Shaun Kelly, 26, from Northumberland Avenue, Welling, and 27-year-old Terry Roberts of Orissa Road, Plumstead both died when their red Peugeot 206 collided with a 29-seater coach on the A2 near Strood at around 2am on Sunday, October 28.
Police say they believe the pair dropped a woman off in the Strood area prior to the crash which happened where the A2 meets the M2. The area is known locally as Three Crutches.
Acting Sgt Julian Barton, from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We know this woman was not involved in the collision, but she may have some useful information which may help with our investigation.
"We also wish to speak to the occupants of a silver people carrier taxi which was travelling alongside the coach before the collision.
Twenty-three people on the coach were taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 01622 798535.
