Dover Athletic boss Nicky Forster has swooped to sign Chelmsford winger Ricky Modeste.

Forster (pictured) was targeting a wideman after adding central midfielders Dean Rance and Steven Thompson to his ranks as well as centre-back Daniel Webb and goalkeeper Mitchell Walker.

Speedy Modeste, 24, who has distinctive dreadlocks, has made 65 appearances over the past two seasons for the Essex side, scoring seven goals.

He came through the youth ranks at City after arriving in 2007 and had been offered a new deal at Melbourne Park.

The Dagenham-born player also reached the last six in the SKY reality TV series Football Icon in 2009.
