A SETTLEMENT has been reached between Iain Dowie and Crystal Palace Football Club over his move to south London rivals Charlton Athletic.A court found Dowie deceived chairman Simon Jordan over his move to the then Premier League Club.
Jordon had previously waived a £1million clause in his contract if the ex-manager left to go to another club because he wanted to be nearer his family in Bolton. However, days later he was named as the new Charlton manager and Jordan issued a writ on Dowie during the press conference announcing his move.Dowie was set to appeal the court’s decision but the two parties have now reached an agreement.
