Entrepreneur Doug Richard is coming to Kent to explain how creative businesses can tap funding.
The founder of School for Creative Startups, which is about to launch its first Kent outlet in Folkestone, is hosting a workshop at the Beaney in Canterbury on Thursday August 22.
Organised by the School for Creative Startups Kent and Kent Creative Live, "Money for Your Creative Business and Startup" is aimed at creative professionals.
The former Dragon’s Den investor will highlight new and innovative services that allow new and small businesses access to funds and provide investors greater potential returns.
He will help delegates learn how to identify if or when they need additional capital, understand what kind of funding best fits the need and demystify the intricacies of accessing it - whether from angel investors, loans or crowd funding.
Since founding the School for Startups in 2008, Mr Richard has helped more than 25,000 people around the globe start, scale and globalise their businesses.
His latest programme School for Creative Startups Kent is a partnership with Kent County Council and focuses on supporting Kent’s vibrant creative and cultural scene as well as encouraging economic growth.
The event on August 22 will be held from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Tickets cost £35.
