A MAN has died following a road accident at Burgess Green near the farm shop in the village of Worth, close to Sandwich.

It is thought the driver, a man of 54 from the Folkestone area, collapsed at the wheel of his Ford Mondeo on Saturday afternoon. No other vehicles were involved.

The car overturned, leaving the man's wife, who was a passenger, with minor injuries.

The driver was pronounced dead on arrival at the QEQM Hospital at Margate. He has not yet been named.
