Driver dies as car hits tree

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road accident in which the driver of an Alpha Romeo car was killed.

The crash occurred at about 7.40pm, on Sunday on the B2027 at Bough Beech, near Tonbridge. The white Alpha Romeo left the road and struck a tree.

The male driver who died is believed to have lived in the Sidcup area. A male passenger, from the Lewisham area, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital, Tunbridge Wells.

The road was blocked for more than two hours. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Zenia Culmer of West Kent Police on 01732 771055.
