A WOMAN motorist is being treated in hospital for leg injuries after the car she was driving crashed into a garden wall.

The accident happened on the Canterbury Road at Birchington at about 11am on Monday when the Fiat Punto left the road.

Police say no other vehicles were involved. Traffic was diverted while the road was closed for about 90 minutes.
