A POLISH lorry driver escaped with minor injuries after his vehicle left the A21 and overturned into a field.

The incident happened between Lamberhurst and Pembury shortly before midday on Thursday.

Tunbridge Wells fire crews attended and made the scene safe. The A21 was closed in both directions for a short time while the accident was dealt with.

At about 5pm on Thursday firefighters from Matfield attended an accident close to the village fire station, releasing a woman who was trapped in her car following a collision.
